The Day Uncle Saved Christmas

It was Christmas Day
And all through the pad
Three little girls were screaming
All calling for their Dad.

Then all of sudden
We arose with a clatter.
The phone was ringing
I asked, “what was the matter?”

Kele and Kylie were all upset
Where was their Christmas plethora?
Since apparently St. NickW
ent to Main St. Eudora.

Uncle bundled up and
Went out in a flash.
He uncovered the car
To make the mad dash.

Mommy was watching
From the window with wine,
Hoping daddy could get out
And get a refill from the vine.

He shoveled and shoveled
And all for nought,
When suddenly four boys appeared
And worked up a froth.

The testosterone flowed
For an hour and one half,
Then Uncle was victorious
And flew down the shoveled path.

On Uncle! On Jim!
To Wellsville they blew,
Hoping to grab the presents
And make Christmas anew

. … and don’t forget the Camel Lights!!!
